I'm Nik Balogh, a Teacher of Embodied Wisdom.

I help people who are ready to actively participate in their own healing access and trust the innate wisdom of their body, mind, heart and Self, so they can navigate healing, spirituality and life with greater confidence and wholeness—without continually looking outside themselves for the answers.

For more than twenty years, I have taught yoga and meditation, explored therapeutic movement and fascial health, studied traditional and energetic herbal medicine, practiced energy healing, apprenticed in shamanic traditions, and worked with thousands of students and clients.

I have also spent almost two decades immersed in Alchemical Healing as a direct student of Nicki Scully and a lineage protector of her work.

My role is to create a safe, grounded and heart-centred space where you can meet what arises, listen to what it has to teach you, access your own inner resources, and develop the tools to continue the work for yourself. Because this work isn't meant to exist only in a healing session or spiritual practice—it is meant to be lived, helping you navigate relationships, emotions, the body, family, work, illness, and the realities of everyday life.

My Work Was Shaped by What I Lived

My work has grown as much from lived experience as formal study.

For years I lived rurally in southern Ontario, growing and preserving much of my family's food and medicine. My study of herbal medicine deepened my relationship with plants and the natural world, while that way of life taught me to pay attention to rhythms, seasons and the intelligence of the body.

My body has been one of my greatest teachers. I've navigated physical challenges and injuries that required me to dig deeper and go beyond what was conventionally available.

My body has been one of my greatest teachers, guiding me through physical challenges and injuries that pushed me to explore deeper. Each setback has revealed new strengths within me, encouraging a journey beyond conventional limits.

One of the most profound examples came through a severe case of Bell's palsy that left me with significant, long-lasting effects I was told could be permanent.

I wasn't willing to stop there.

Over three years of listening, experimenting and practicing consistently, I developed an approach that created remarkable changes for me.

6 months after the onset of Bell's Palsy

My body reinforced something I had been learning for years:

Healing changes when we stop treating ourselves as a problem to fix and begin developing a relationship with what is happening within us.

My spiritual path taught me another equally important lesson.

I spent five years apprenticing with a Shaman. I entered that relationship wanting to learn deeply, as I have done throughout my life.

Then I experienced the other side of spiritual authority.

I was publicly attacked and belittled by someone I had trusted as my teacher. The experience shattered my confidence and left me feeling disconnected from my own power.

It also eventually gave me one of the most important teachings of my life:

Never surrender your discernment simply because someone else is standing in the position of authority.

Finding Alchemical Healing became an important part of my own healing.

I was drawn to the way the work is threaded through the heart and to an approach that allowed me to reclaim rather than surrender my inner authority.

That experience changed not only how I healed, but how I chose to teach.

Why I Teach Differently

I don't want you to need me in order to know what is true for you.

I don't want to tell you who your spirit guide is, interpret every experience for you, or position myself as the person with privileged access to your answers.

I would rather teach you how to ask.

How to listen.

How to feel.

How to question.

How to discern.

How to recognize what is happening within your body and your energetic experience.

And how to develop enough trust in yourself that you can receive guidance without automatically handing your authority to the person offering it.

This is especially important in spiritual work.

I believe we can have profound relationships with Spirit and spirit allies while remaining grounded in our bodies and everyday lives. I believe spiritual exploration requires discernment, clear intention, appropriate boundaries and personal responsibility.

I don't believe spirituality should make us afraid of the dark.

And I don't believe "working in the Light" means avoiding fear, grief, shame, anger, pain or the uncomfortable parts of being human.

Life moves in an ever-evolving spiral of contraction and expansion.

When we have the courage, support and tools to meet what arises, the difficult places can become teachers too.

Meeting What Arises

Today I call the heart of my work Embodied Wisdom.

It brings together Alchemical Healing, therapeutic and intuitive movement, embodied practices, energy awareness, self-care, spiritual exploration, discernment and the understanding I've gathered through years of teaching, practicing and living this work.

These are different pathways, but they lead toward the same place:

home to yourself.

This means learning to meet what arises—physical challenges, emotions, old patterns, relationships, spiritual experiences, uncertainty and change—with curiosity rather than immediately fighting or escaping it.

It means exploring Spirit while keeping your feet firmly on the ground.

It means developing discernment so you can receive guidance without giving your power away.

It means having practical tools that work not only in a healing session or retreat, but in the middle of your actual life.

And it means understanding that healing doesn't mean someone else doing the work for you.

It means becoming an active participant in your own life.

Walking in Both Worlds

Today I live nomadically, teaching online and in person while spending time in different places, cultures and communities.

The landscape of my life has changed, but what matters to me hasn't: nourishment, movement, rest, nature, community, curiosity, spiritual practice and living what I teach.

I often describe it as walking in both worlds:

Feet on the earth.
Heart open.
Discernment intact.
Spirit welcomed.

The people who find me aren't necessarily looking to become more spiritual.

They're looking to become more whole.

I won't promise to fix you, and I have no interest in becoming the keeper of your answers.

I will teach you, guide you, challenge you, hold space for what arises and share the tools I've gathered through decades of living this work.

But ultimately, I want to help you discover something much more powerful:

your ability to trust and navigate your own experience.

To access your inner resources.
To participate consciously in your own healing.
To live more fully as yourself.

And, again and again,

to come home to yourself.

That is when embodied wisdom becomes more than an idea.

It becomes a way of living.
