For centuries, ghee has been celebrated in Ayurveda for its ability to deeply nourish both body and skin. This golden oil is rich in fatty acids and antioxidants, able to penetrate all seven layers of the skin to moisturize, heal, and restore from within.

When blended with turmeric, rose oil, and sandalwood oil, it becomes Goddess Ghee Cream—a radiant skin balm that brings together ancient wisdom and natural beauty care.
A dear friend gave it it's name after being gifted a jar.
Note: This recipe yields five 50ml jars. Perfect for sharing with the Goddesses in your life.

List of Ingredients
250 g organic unsalted butter (grass-fed, if possible)
¼ tsp ground turmeric
¼ tsp rose oil
¼ tsp sandalwood oil
Making Your Own Ghee

The foundation of this cream begins with homemade ghee. Start with high-quality, organic unsalted butter—ideally grass-fed.
Place the butter in a heavy-bottomed saucepan and melt it over low heat.

It'll come to it's first boil - this will bubble, and cloud of scum will rise. Don't skim yet.
After a few minutes, bubbling will subside. It will be replaced by popping bubbles.

This is your second boil, keep that heat low, otherwise you risk burning the melted butter.
A foamy cloud will rise (so use a deep enough pan to give space for this)

The foam will turn a little darker and then begin to recede back down. You should here less popping now as well.
Reomove from heat and skim the top until all scum is clear. At the bottom of your pan you'll see dark brown milk solid sediments, don't mix them in.

Carefully strain the liquid through a fine mesh sieve.
What remains is pure ghee—a clear, golden oil with a delicate nutty aroma.
Let it cool before turning it into your Goddess Ghee Cream.
Enhancing with Botanicals
Once cooled, I blend the ghee with:

Turmeric – known for its powerful anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties, turmeric helps brighten skin tone and calm irritation.
Rose oil – cooling and heart-opening, rose soothes redness, hydrates, and promotes a soft, youthful glow.
Sandalwood oil – grounding and restorative, sandalwood reduces blemishes, balances skin tone, and adds a divine, calming scent.
This sacred trio, carried by the ghee, creates a cream that not only nourishes the skin but also uplifts the spirit.
Benefits of Goddess Ghee Cream
Ayurveda teaches that ghee penetrates all seven layers of the skin, nourishing from the deepest tissues outward. Used regularly, Goddess Ghee Cream offers powerful, holistic benefits:
1. Moisturizes and Nourishes
Rich in omega-3s and fatty acids, ghee delivers deep, lasting hydration, leaving skin soft, smooth, and silky.
2. Anti-Aging Properties
Packed with vitamins A, D, E, and K, ghee supports collagen production, protects against free radicals, and helps reduce wrinkles and fine lines.
3. Brightens and Evens Skin Tone
The combination of ghee and turmeric helps reduce dark spots, blemishes, and pigmentation while imparting a natural, healthy glow.
4. Soothes Irritated Skin
Its anti-inflammatory qualities calm inflamed or sensitive skin and may bring relief from conditions such as eczema and psoriasis.
5. Reduces Scars and Blemishes
By promoting skin cell regeneration, ghee helps fade acne scars and improves overall skin texture.

A little goes a long way. After cleansing, warm a small amount between your fingers and gently massage into your face and neck. Goddess Ghee Cream goes on glossy and then absorbs deeply, working through every layer of the skin to restore softness, radiance, and resilience.
