Refined Recovery:
A Therapeutic Facial Retraining Series
Guided Facial Retraining Designed to Support Continued Recovery and Restore Natural Expression After Facial Paralysis.
Recovery from Facial Palsy often extends well beyond the early stages of healing. As the face adapts, subtle patterns of tension and compensation can develop, leaving many people unsure how to continue supporting their progress. Refined Recovery offers a structured approach to this phase of healing, providing practical, region-specific tools to refine muscle activation, reduce unnecessary strain, and support the return of natural facial expression.
What’s Included
â—¾ Five 90-Minute Live Training Sessions
The 1st 4 sessions focus on a specific region of the face, allowing time to explore movement, build awareness, and practice guided retraining. The 5th and final session integrates them all into a 20-Minute Foundational Practice.
â—¾ Weekly Live Classes — Thursdays at 5:00 PM PDT | 6:00 PM MDT | 8:00 PM EDT
A consistent rhythm that supports steady progress and allows time between sessions to integrate what you learn.
â—¾ Real-Time Therapeutic Cueing
Receive immediate feedback and guided adjustments to help overcome any difficulties.
â—¾ A Structured Approach That Builds Over Time
Consistency is key in neuromuscular retraining. Practicing over several weeks allows the nervous system the time it needs to integrate change.
â—¾ Access to Session Recordings
Video replays will be available on demand until May 7, 2026, so you can revisit the material and continue practicing at your own pace. (This introductory offer includes Free Lifetime Access to recordings).
â—¾ A Mutually Supportive Learning Environment
An invaluable opportunity to connect with others who genuinely understand the experience of Facial Palsy.
A Space Where You Are Understood
Many people living with Facial Palsy have experienced being:
• Misunderstood
• Dismissed
• Told “it looks fine”
• Left feeling alone in their frustration
This series offers something different.

It is not a support group focused on symptoms, but a therapeutic training space with shared experience.
Participants practice alongside others who understand the effort involved in recovery.

In this environment, people:
• Witness each other’s effort
• Celebrate subtle improvements
• Normalize setbacks that naturally occur in recovery
• Encourage the consistency that real change requires
Being in a shared space with others navigating similar experiences often softens self-criticism and eases the inner pressure many people carry — something that can directly influence facial tension and expression.
You Will Benefit From This Series If…
â—¾Your recovery has continued beyond the early stages and you want guidance on how to support further progress.
â—¾You experience tightness, pulling, or areas of tension that seem to influence how your face moves.
â—¾You still struggle with functions like blinking, eating, drinking, speaking?
â—¾Or perhaps being able to seal your lips around your toothbrush, spitting into the sink, or blowing out a candle?
â—¾Natural expressions still feel lost.
â—¾You would like to better understand how different regions of the face interact and influence one another.
â—¾You are navigating synkinesis or unwanted movement patterns and want practical tools to work with them.
â—¾The long-term effects of facial paralysis have affected how you feel about yourself.
â—¾You value learning in a supportive environment alongside others who understand the experience of Facial Palsy.
What You Will Learn in Refined Recovery
Refined Recovery takes a region-by-region approach so you can explore the face with greater clarity and focus.

Each session concentrates on a specific area, allowing you to slow down and develop a deeper awareness of what is truly happening in that part of the face. This focused attention helps you recognize subtle patterns of tension, compensation, or under-activation that may be influencing movement.

Working with one area at a time also gives you the opportunity to spend more time where your face needs it most.

As the series progresses, you will also begin to understand how the different regions of the face interact — including the relationship between the eyes, brow, mouth, jaw, and neck. This awareness is essential for creating lasting change, as facial movement is never isolated to a single muscle or area.

The series concludes with a guided 20-minute Foundational Practice that brings all of these elements together. This integrated sequence provides practical tools you can return to regularly, helping support continued balance, coordination, and natural expression in your daily life.
What You’ll Need:
-
A Computer or Phone with a camera and mic to connect to class.
-
A cork is necessary for some of the exercises.
-
A private space where you can sit comfortably or lie down while practicing the exercises.

I want this work to feel supportive and accessible, not like a financial risk.

If you’ve already tried many things and still feel stuck, you’re not alone.
Why Is This Series So Affordable?
Simple.
I want you to look and feel more like yourself again.

After navigating the lasting effects of a severe case of Bell’s Palsy myself, I understand how overwhelming and discouraging recovery can sometimes feel. Too many people are left believing that improvement is no longer possible. Even after spending possibly thousands of dollars on various treatments like I did.

Refined Recovery was created to offer the guidance, tools, and support I wish I had during my own journey.

My hope is to reach those who may have given up hope for further change and show them that meaningful improvement is still possible with the right approach.

By keeping the cost low, I want this series to remain accessible to anyone navigating the long-term effects of Facial Palsy.

The price is simply enough to encourage commitment — and accessible enough that nothing stands in the way of joining.
Hi, I’m Nik.
For more than two decades I have been teaching yoga, meditation, and therapeutic healing practices that help people reconnect with the natural intelligence of their bodies.

My work has evolved through years of study, teaching, and personal exploration into how the body restores balance after injury, stress, or disruption. This path eventually led me to develop specialized approaches for facial recovery and neuromuscular retraining.

But the foundation of everything I teach remains simple.

My aim is to place healing tools in your hands — so you can actively participate in your own recovery and well-being.
Because lasting change happens when we learn to listen to the body, work with it, and rebuild trust in its ability to adapt and heal with the right support.

Have Questions?
What is the program structure for this 5-Part Live Therapeutic Training Series? •Session 1 focuses on the Eye Area – Restoring Clarity & Control •Session 2 focuses on Eyebrow Movement and it’s foundation, the Cranial Vault. •Session 3 focuses on the Mouth & Tongue – Rebuilding Expression •Session 4 focuses on the Jaw & Neck – Stabilizing the Foundation •Session 5 is the Integration Session culminating in the 20-Minute Foundational Practice and adjusting it to your own needs.
What if I can't attend the sessions live? All sessions will be recorded and available for replay through May 7th, 2026, unless your registered early or upgraded to Lifetime Access.
What if nothing works for me? Even if you’ve tried many approaches already, this work focuses on rebuilding awareness and coordination in ways many people have never been guided through before.
What if I make it worse? The goal is not to force movement, but to restore coordination so the face can begin working more naturally again.
What if it's too late? People experience improvement from this work at many different stages of recovery — from months to many years after the initial onset.
